THAILAND!

So being stuck in Singapore was a lot of fun! Some of us roamed around the airport and did some running, rolling, and high five-ing! Being that we landed at 12 am there was no one in the airport! Just a handful of us! So it was wicked empty! There were all kinds of designer stores, and a Starbucks next to a Dunkin' Donuts! It was crazy! But everything was closed.

Mary and I found some cool things on our wonder, we found Gary the snail from sponge bob leading a giant horse made of plants! We found a small playground, that we were unfortunately too old to go on :(

We stayed in the travelers lounge. It had comfy chairs, food, showers and internet! It looked liked a rainforest! 7 hours had gone by before we knew it, well not so much. We finally started boarding Thai airlines to complete our travels to Thailand! The plane was super colorful and the flight attendants were very nice. The women were dressed in formal Thai dresses! The flight took off and 2 hours later...........

WE FINALLY ARRIVE IN BANGKOK!

It was exciting to get off the plane after about 36 hours, maybe more, of travel to know we have reached our destination! We all went through immigration and customs, and ALL of our bags made the journey with us! We finally stepped outside, it was hot, humid and beautiful! It was about 90 degrees today! Completely the opposite of the weather Ma is having now!

We got to go right to the hotel and freshen up! Sadly on the ride to lunch and the sites, I may have fallen asleep. Once we ate, I had more energy! Then we were off on to our first sites! We got to go on a boat tour down the Chao Phraya River. When in the boat you couldn't see in front of you because the boat was so long! Did you know the Chao Phraya River is about 230 miles long? Wow! Then we arrived at the  Summer Palace. Bang Pa-In Palace is its name. It is right on the Chao Phraya River. It is huge! There is so much beautiful manicured land! The bushes were all shaped like animals, we saw elephants, cobras, and lions. The flowers all looked beautiful and it smelled amazing!

Then we ventured back to our hotel to freshen up once again and to listen to two educators talk about Thailand education and have dinner with them! The presentation was great! I learned a lot about Right to Play. This is a program that works to reflect, connect and apply experiential learning! To use activities that can help integrate life skills into the classroom! I find this fascinating! I feel that life skills should be an important part of curriculum. The four goals are 1 to manage emotions, 2 have healthy relationships, 3 appreciate yourself, and 4 to be a problem solver. Working towards these goals with support can help anyone.

I think I covered today, or in my mind The past three days combined! Whelp, I'm off to bed!

Until tomorrow!
